Where To Go When You’re At The Princess
Scottsdale is a resort town with many options and it’s hard to decide what to do and where to go. This page is dedicated just to people staying at the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess Resort. All these recommendations are within 4 miles of the hotel if not closer.
An Insider’s Guide
While resorts have great concierge services, sometimes it’s nice to discover some things on your own so this page is for you. For the most part these recommendations are all for locally owned businesses as we here at DIG want our local companies to thrive!
Late Night
Looking for bars open after midnight? There are several great nearby bars that are open til 2a every night. There’s also a few bars in North Scottsdale opened til 2a on weekends including Chauncey Social, Unami and Duelies Piano Bar & Grill that opened 12/31/2022.
Nearby Sports Bar
If you’re looking for a sports bar your best bet is Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers – tell Uber to take you to the one at Scottsdale and Chauncey but if you that’s not your speed, try Arena Sports Bar.
Time To Shop!
If you’re looking for shopping you have three easy options:
There’s also a Target, Ross and TJ Maxx right down the road on Frank Lloyd Wright and the 101.
Chains That Are Worth Checking Out
Got some cravings? Places with cult followings are also super close by:
- In-N-Out
- Shake Shack
- Trader Joe’s
Food For Foodies
Not sure what you want to eat but definitely looking for some high brow eats? Hop over to Kierland Commons on Scottsdale Road, you could practically walk there if the weather permits. At Kierland you’ll find Zinc Bistro a French-inspired cafe, the Mission @ Kierland – Latin American food and Ocean Club which is seafood and steak. If you’ve already tried all those places, cross the street at Scottsdale Quarter and check out Dominick’s Steakhouse and Obon Sushi. If it’s Tuesday or you’re just craving tacos – practically walking distance from the Princess is Blue Agave and Cien Agave both at 7000 Mayo. Check out their Taco Tuesday deals.
What To Do With The Kids
Don’t know what to do with the kids but don’t want to go far? Bowlero is right down the street for bowling and an arcade.
Don’t Miss The Sunsets
If you do nothing else while you’re in Scottsdale, make sure you take time to watch the sunsets. The views from the Fairmont are great.

Whether you’re visiting for #thepeoplesopen to attend WMPO, Barrett-Jackson, Russo & Steele, the Arabian horse show or any of our many annual events, you will be happy in the area surrounding the Princess.
